“I paint from the heart and I teach from the heart. In my own artwork I try to capture a hidden quality I perceive in God’s creation; the heart that is expressed in every leaf, blade of grass and flower. Not in a detailed, literal way, but in a way that communicates emotions.”
Kim Roth was born in New South Wales, Australia. He was educated in Sydney, attending the National Art School and Julian Ashton Art School. He moved to the United States in 1987.
Kim has lived in Manchester, NH with his wife and 3 children for 15 years. He has taught classes in drawing and painting at E. W. Poore Art Studio, Kimball Jenkins Art School, Prime Time, Pleasant View Retirement Center and other locations. He is on the Board of Directors for the Manchester Artist Association Art Gallery. His work has been displayed in Galleries and shows in Florida, Washington D.C., Massachusetts, and New Hampshire.
Currently he teaches art classes in oil, acrylic and watercolor painting, drawing and art history, as well as offering demonstration classes of various styles and techniques. Kim actively promotes and participates in exhibits throughout NH on a regular basis and has won several awards.
